Goals
I found this quote by Ryan Holiday that I believe sums me up perfectly.
I don't have one specific goal in life, instead there are many things
that I wish to achieve, at home with my family, at work with my peers and for me.
Here are some close ups.

Beautiful Things
Over on the 7 Dots Studio blog, the mood board from the September challenge inspired me to create the following layout
I used the Under the Covers paper from the Dreamscapes Collection which is the perfect back drop for my photo.
I have these beautiful oriental lilies growing in my garden and in my opinion, are effortlessly beautiful .
So go on, head on over to the blog and join in the challenge.

Happy Birthday
It was my sister's birthday recently so I made her the below tag.
I still have a stash of old tags that I made when I first started.
These are very simplistic and my styling has since changed.
So I've taken one of those old tags and made it more special and heartfelt
by using plenty of techniques that I've picked up over time.
Hope you enjoy!

Remember this Moment
I happened to come across the blog for Mixed Media & Art and found their challenge for April - Deep Inside.
My favourite colour is blue so there was no hesitation from me to enter a layout for the challenge.
My inspiration for this project has come from the beautiful blue hues, the repetitive patterns and the use of white to give balance. I also really liked the layout sketch.
I enjoyed doing this project and invite you visit their blog and join in the fun.

Thank you
It's been a while however I found a window of time to complete this small project.
I wanted to thank someone who recently did a favour for me.

I've taken a tag that I created a couple of years ago that was very
basic and have been able to adapt it to make this gorgeous creation.

Hugs, Kisses
The challenge for January on the More Than Words Challenge blog
is in celebration of their 2 year anniversary so what a more fitting way
to honour this than to use a photo of my youngest son celebrating his 2nd birthday!
The word 'Birthday' is the inspiration for the layout and the creative challenge is to use tags.
I've tucked a couple of tags in behind the photo and incorporated bright colours, balloons and a few small toys.
Here are some close ups.
Both my son and I are very pleased with the outcome.

Delicate
Over at morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com the challenge for October is 'Delicate & Fabrics'.
This made me think of the magnolia tree in my garden and the beautiful flowers that are so delicate, that as soon as the wind comes along the petals drop from the tree.

Hello
Well, here goes with my very first blog post.
This is the first page I've dedicated to my dad since he passed away just over 12 months ago.
It took a while but it felt the right time and I'm really happy with the result.
